Halloween 2014: The Skeleton!

This year I had been looking at pictures of people dressed as skeletons, and thought some of the makeup was amazing. I decided I would like to try and give it a go and base it around the makeup used in Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' music video.

My Finished Skeleton Makeup

A Guide To Show The Key Features

I found this picture to use as a guide, when drawing on the main parts of the makeup. I used just a black liquid eyeliner to outline the shapes, then a black eyeshadow with my Sephora brush to fill in each part. After this I used my small angled brush to go into more detail and add shading to create the Skeleton/bone feel to it.

The Finished Look

This was one of my favourite Halloween looks that I've done and it was really fun to do and very cheap. I wore a black strappy jumpsuit from Missguided, but you could wear a skeleton costume or dress etc. There are lots of tutorials that show the general idea of how to achieve the makeup, but most are quick versions so I would pause them as you go and take time to perfect each part as its worth the time. You'll get some funny looks out on Halloween and hopefully lots of compliments!

Charity Shop Shopping!

This is just a short post, as I just wanted to talk about the Denim Jacket I found in a New Zealand Charity Shop down the road. Lots of my friends always find some really nice oversized jackets in charity shops so that's what I went in looking for. I found this Denim jacket with a fleece lining for $12.00 and I actually love it; it's so good for the weather out here at the moment as New Zealand can't decide if it wants to be hot or cold. The jacket is so warm and I think it looks quite cute with some of the different outfits I've been wearing lately, it also has a really nice checked pattern on the inside of the sleeves which shows if you roll up the sleeves like I do.

I'm going to keep looking in the charity shops around the area as they had some really nice stuff! Wooo Charity Shops!

A shot to show you the length of it, which I love!

Holiday to Fiji!

I've been staying in New Zealand now for around 4 weeks and I am really loving it! Seeings as we are over this side of the world we thought we would take the opportunity to visit the Island of Fiji!

The hotel that we stayed in was called Club Fiji Resort and I would highly recommend it, the staff were so friendly and amazing and you really get a Fiji experience. The hotel is basically the beach where you stay in little bungalow that overlooks the ocean and I just loved everything about it.

I really wanted somewhere that was peaceful but not too far away from the town, and the taxi ride to the airport and town were very cheap. I would highly recommend Port Denarau for restaurants and shops and it is so beautiful there, they also have some really nice resorts for doing watersports whichi is where we did some Jet skiing.

Here are some of the photos to show you how beautiful it is and some of the stuff we got up to; also some of the evening outfits I wore, it was crazy hot so yes I got sunburnt... Naughty.
